MEET SAM!

Hey everybody! Thank you for visiting my blog. I am Samantha, an 18-year-old sophomore college student taking up Journalism. Journalism is where my heart is, and I'll be that New York Times journalist one day. But of course, for now, let me pump myself up to share with you pieces of my life—from my favorite coffee shops, my immense love for cats, down to the amazing news about Jesus and how He'll work in your life. So, sit back and enjoy.

Being a teenager in this era of globalization is such a serious blessing. Communication has now turned into a dynamo, linking people despite immense distance. Social media, blogging—my go-to thing now to express my thoughts and reach out to other people from different parts of the world. It amazes me how we could just add up to a global conversation, and I definitely wanted to be part of that.

Now let's hit pageantry. This, to be honest, has been quite a surprising but enriching portion of my journey. My being involved in pageants for 12 or so years has equipped me with skills that I didn't really think would be useful in my future career in journalism. Public speaking and being able to build confidence are some of the little gems I now own on my crown. Skills that for sure will be put to good use when this girl is out there interviewing, reporting, and sharing the stories of you lovely people.

But it's not all journalism for me. My blog is a place where I can share my passions and my experiences but, most importantly, the things that make me happy. Thank you for being with me all through this. Let's explore, share, and grow together. Who knows, one day you might find my byline in the New York Times. Until then, let's enjoy the ride and make the most out of every moment. Thanks for being with me!

I leave you with my all time FAVORITE bible verse:

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you, and not to harm you, plans to give you hope, and a future".” — Jeremiah 29:11

Encouragement from one of my favorite influencers & authors from me, to you!

Sadie Robertson Huff

“If you know you need to take some kind of risk, then get your relationship with God strong and go for it. You will never know what you could have or experience in life unless you try. God made you an original. That means you are really special, and He has a really special plan for your life. You may have to risk something that currently feels secure in order to go after that plan, but with God’s help, you may end up in an awesome situation if you’ll just take the chance.”
